Growing up in India, I was always fascinated by how our land has been at the heart of the global spice trade for thousands of years. From the bustling markets of Kerala to the ancient caravans winding their way along the Silk Road, India’s spices have shaped cuisines, cultures, and histories far beyond our borders.

But as magical as this history is, I’ve also seen the challenges faced by the communities who grow these incredible spices. That’s why, at SUKI, we’re on a mission to radically reimagine what the spice trade can be. We believe it’s time for a new chapter—one where the trade is equitable, sustainable, climate-resilient, and truly community-driven.
